Direct Deposit

OPERATION:

The Champ Systems enhancement is fully graphical and installs on any MAS 90 · MAS 200 system. This enhancement is integrated into the MAS 90 · MAS 200 Payroll menu under the Direct Deposit Submenu. There are two programs provided. The first is the Direct Deposit Interface Setup. This program only needs to be used if the Direct Deposit bank has special requirements. Even though NACHA files are ‘standardized’ many banks have special requirements such as a batch header, extra line spacing, or special characters preceding the Federal ID number. Some companies also have a legal name that differs from their DBA name. This name would normally be used instead of the DBA name for direct deposit purposes.

If there is ever a need to view a NACHA file, we have also provided a viewer with a print capability. Using the Direct Deposit Interface Setup all of these items can be maintained.

The second program is used to generate the Direct Deposit interface file. This program is run after the payroll check register has been printed and updated. This program actually generates the NACHA file. Since all of the required data fields are filled in automatically, the operator only needs to change the data fields under special circumstances such as if the NACHA file was lost or corrupted and needed to be regenerated.
